The Consession Stand run by The LaValle Community Center does more than just serve healthy snacks and meals — it serves the heart of the community.

Through our nonprofit “Consession Stand” every bite supports programs that keep our rural neighbors strong, connected, and safe.

Proceeds help fund programs like- Strong Bodies a 12-week, evidence-based fitness class designed for older adults, offered here for a suggested donation of just $25 to keep it accessible for all.

Next, we’re raising funds to purchase an AED (automated external defibrillator) — a critical addition to our center, where active older adults regularly participate in pickleball, fitness classes, and social events.

And it’s not just about fitness! This past winter, we hosted the Snow & Glow Wellness Faire, a fun and festive event designed to promote wellness and bring our community together through movement, education, and connection.

Every snack, sandwich, or salad you enjoy here helps fuel these efforts — thank you for being part of something bigger.

Your support through purchasing simple healthy food helps power programs that matter. Thank you for helping us nourish both body and community spirit.

Want to get involved? We’re always looking for friendly faces to help staff the concession stand and support events. Whether you’ve got one hour or a few, we’d love to have you on the team.
